Finally a new NEWS update!
Please join me at the opening of my new art show, Tea and Sympathy. The opening is October 4, 2008 (Saturday). The show will feature new works in Video, Photos and Dioramas. More info can be found HERE or by checking out the Atlantic Works Gallery. I promise you a good time.
I kicked off the year in making a new short film titled, Sucker. Sucker is based on the short story of the same name by Wayne Hoffman. I read this story last year and loved it. I tracked Wayne down online, pitched him a plan for a short film and a few months later the film was born.

Sucker was shot in mid December 07, during a snow storm. Fortunately it was an indoor shoot. Amy (my production assistant) & I literally skied her car to the film set. Making Sucker was at times an enduring process, but I am thrilled with the results. Once again I had the privilege of working with the esteemed talented camerawoman, Rhonda Moniz. The film stars, Craig Houk. Craig did an incredible job playing, Moe. I am grateful to have worked with him and I hope to again. Hats off to some other special players on the film, Amy Barker, Bryan Clain, Michael Maggard and my fabulous Co-Producer, Laura Teodosio.
Sucker premiered May 15th in Boston, MA as part of the Boston LGBT Film Festival. It played to a sold out house. The screening, the reception and after party were the best! Sucker will also screen in NYC in early June as part of NewFest. It will screen in August as part of the North Carolina LGBT Film Festival. Then again in Seattle in October and in Chicago in November. Hooray!

2007 brought about some awesome opportunities! I took part in a group art show at The Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown, MA. That space is one of my favorite galleries, so being in the show was an honor. My 2 short films, Dream of an ex-girlfriend & The Face of God both had a decent festival run around the country. And, my short epic film, The Beautiful popped up at a few fests last year as well. Two previous films of mine, My Hustler Boyfriend and Love is Blind are highlighted in the new book, 'Blood Moon's Guide to Gay and Lesbian Film, 2nd Edition. You can find the book HERE or search Amazon.com.
I will be teaching my class, The fast, cheap and easy way to make a short video in September & November at CCTV. This place rocks, an amazing affordable resource for anyone interested in film & video making. Check them out and check out my class at www.cctvcambridge.org.
