Dream of an ex-girlfriend
Michelle Tea is the heroine in this mad-cap fantasy turned reality. After a fun romp with her girlfriend she drifts off into dreamland. Where she encounters a dead Angie Dickenson, attends a New Year’s Eve Party and is arrested by a squad of Arizona cops.

However, what she discovers upon awakening from this comedic nightmare may leave her looking like a tragic movie star.

The film was adapted from the poem of the same name written by Michelle Tea.

The film also stars the powerhouse talent of Cindy Wonderful. In describing her character for the film I said to her, think Joan Jett meets Patricia Ireland.

Someone with style, attitude and an agenda.

Cindy is in the band, Scream Club an electro-glam queer rap, rock dance group from Olympia, WA. More info about Cindy and Scream Club can be found at www.myspace.com/screamclub

Dream of an ex-girlfriend was shot on location in San Francisco, CA. The film truly exemplifies guerilla and low budget filmmaking. This was a labor of love for all involved.

The day before the shoot, the location (Tara Jepson’s flat) was decided as the set. Michelle Tea and I hurried around SF finding props. I hit the local supermarket to gather the fixings for fake blood. I sent out text messages to the actors indicating costume and make-up needs. I also found someone to shoot the film the day before. Sabrina Alons was awesome to work with.

The film also showcases the fabulous talent of Tara Jepson. Tara plays the Angie Dickenson character. After working with Tara I can state this woman can strike a pose like no other.

Rocco Kayiatos aka Katastrophe dishes out his fierce talent and style for the party scene in the movie. Rocco also created a great music score for the film. We will undoubtedly work together again. More information about Rocco can be found at www.katastropherap.com

The romper room of stars also includes Alvin Orloff, Jennifer Blowdryer and Jenna Riot. Thanks to all for lending their energy and their light.
