The 1/2 year in Pictures... kinda, sorta....

This year thus far has been about Photography.

Shoots, shows, sales, modeling - you name it...

It begin in March with a Photo Show in Winthrop, Mass. The show was part of the Winthrop Arts Association. I had three pics on display and one of my pics won 1st place in the photo category... - Neat! That photo then went on to be displayed at The Dupree Gallery, also in Winthrop, Mass

'The Mill' 2004

In April I shoot a photo story 'The Playground Brawl. I pulled together a decent size cast - about 12 kids and 5 adults. We put our heart and soul into creating a good ol' fashion playground battle. The theme of the story - one girl is hogging the swing all to herself - the other kids move in to evict her. The moms intervene - and up battling it out. In case you're wondering, what lucky kid gets the swing? - or which Mom at the park gets a bloody nose? You will just have to check out the piece. I hope to have it on display soon.

Then in early June I had a show with the East Boston Artists Group. We had our annual Open Studios, which is part of Boston's Open Studios. The event was great - heavily attended, fun with the artists in my hood...

In July one of my photos was chosen to be part of The Lynn Arts show. The photo also sold! - always a good thing..!

'Cakes'  2004

So, What's next...?
I donated a photo to the auction benefiting The Brattle Theater in Cambridge Mass. The Brattle Theater is a great movie house showing both Independent and Restored Classic Films. The auction will feature many locals artists. It will be held on September 30th at the theater on Brattle Street in Cambridge, Mass. Click HERE for more info.

Also in September I'm teaching a class at CCTV, click HERE for more info.

And, More Pictures, more and more Pictures... Yes... I'll be shooting 3 slide stories in September... I will have a couple of pictures in the 'Earth to Earth Show' at The Atlantic Works Gallery here in East Boston, click HERE for info about that show. It runs through the month of September.

In October I'm off to San Francisco to take part in the Radar Series in conjunction with The San Francisco Public Library. I'll be unveiling my new slide stories at the show.

Peeps, I hope this note finds you all well, and I hope you all had a fabulous and inspiring Summer! Email me, link to me, work with me - I'll work with you too...

Lastly, on a final note - Hats Off to my Dad... also a photographer. To say the least about the man - he bought me my first camera... And to say the most about the man, just check out my work.

Thanks Dad - Rest In Peace... 2004
